OUR FIGHTERS

We are the Los Angeles Golden Knights, the premier decade-old SoCal-based team of medieval combat sport. Our mission is to train medieval combat enthusiasts, and expand local awareness for the sport. Our members range from fresh beginners to experienced legends, all sharing the buhurt’s values of discipline, sportsmanship, courage, and respect. The Los Angeles Golden Knights is an inclusive team constantly looking to enroll new fighters. We are looking forward to welcoming you into the exciting world of buhurt! JASON PUERTA

CHAPTER PRESIDENT

Jason joined the Armored Combat world in 2015 and competed in several tournaments for that 2015 -2016 rookie season. His aggressive fight style and ability to stay alive in fights earned him a place on 2016 US Men’s Team headed over to Portugal. After the 4 days of tournament, Jason, among others was recognized as a Knight in a private ceremony on the ramparts of The Castle of Montemor–o–Velho Portugal. Jason was also part of US Team for the 2018 Scotland Campaign where his team took International Gold in the 16v 16 Melee Tournament. Jason is expecting to make his Armored Combat return in late 2023.

RONIN HUGUES SATO

TEAM CAPTAIN

From Montreal, Canada

 

Ronin joined the Armored Combat world in 2021, a time of rebuilding for the Golden Knights. He joined with over 30 years of training in multiple martial arts disciplines. Ronin spent 2021-2022 traveling and competing in as many tournaments as possible. He Medaled in multiple tournaments including Silver Medal in Sword and Buckler at Wondering Sword in Houston Tx in 2022 and Gold Medal in Longsword at Armored Combat Sports Nationals in Reno NV  2022. Ronin was promoted to Team Captain in early 2023 by Jason Puerta. Noteworthy of mentioning, Ronin is the First Team Captain that is not also the Chapter President in team history.
